On3 Performance

I've been looking into their turbo kits and they seem pretty perfect for what I want. And very affordable and from what I read in reviews reliable. 5psi would put a completely stock 2v at around 350rwhp and their shop 2002 GT has had it at 10psi running 430rwhp and they've put over 10k miles in a few months with no problems.

I plan on getting supporting mods as well.

Any advice or reviews?!

I really want it, I think.

You can never go wrong with a turbo. More power. Easier on the engine. And the sound of those BOV is so sexy

^^^^^ This is where I'm getting it from; ya'll should check it out.

Yeah, I don't often go much over 3krpm on a daily basis so a turbo wouldn't kill my engine like a constant boost of a supercharger. And it's only $1800 and I can install it myself with my friend... So cruising with stock power 90% of the time and push out 400rwhp if I need it? Sounds good.

I've read a ton of people's comments about the kit. It seems relatively straightforward to install, just time consuming, and very reliable and sounds awesome, eh?

I looked at that kit also, but that kit requires the use of a tubular K member.

Tubular k-member is less than $300 and is beneficial in many ways. I'm getting one regardless. Haha

Very true.. They said they been running at 10 psi for a year with no problems I'd love to have that kit and run 7-8psi and be at that 400ish range. I think I'll start saving up for this kit.

1st, I never saw on there what their exact setup was, because yes the kits START at $1,815.00 Shipped to your door, but with upgrading to everything top end, it is over $4,000.00

The kit that I have priced out that I am close to finally having enough for, was the best of everything but the turbo, I am going with the 399 76mm and my bill is $3,869.00 shipped.

Again just be careful spending that much thinking it will be all said and done for 2k, when you know it will be more in the longrun.

Good call. I already have some of the parts. So with the 70mm upgrade and a couple things it's roughly $2300 shipped. Which is affordable. Plus I'm guessing around $400 in tuning.

Re: On3 Performance

the on3 kits are good..but a few things...dont pay for the upgraded turbos because they are all chinese knockoffs now..they use to have a precision option but dont anymore..just get the cheap turbo that comes with the kit and when you do a built motor..upgrade the wastegate, blow off valve, and get a nice billet wheel turbo to make some power.. and the $1,800 is for the old ****ty kit that had fitment problems..the new kit is $2100 and its the forward faceing header kit.. and a kmember kit is more than 300..you will need a complete kit with kmember, coilovers, aarams cc plates

Thanks for the heads up! I'm upgrading suspension in the next week and getting Tokico d-spec shocks/struts and lowering springs and c/c plates.. Will the tubular k-member mod have to replace all of that?

Re: On3 Performance

no you will need the cc plates anyway..and the coilovers just slide over the shocks...so you will not need to replace anything..

So after I upgrade the suspension I should just be able to install a tubular k miner and be safe? That's what you're saying?

You wont be able to use the front spring with a kmember unless you buy one with spring perches and use stock a arms or aftermarket a arms with spring perches. I went this route and used a PA racing k member

Re: On3 Performance

sorry didnt pay attention to the lowering springs you said you where going to get...but your going turbo you cant use stock aarms..because the way the pipeing is ran..so you need a complete kmember kit.. so you will lose your front springs which is no big deal really you can ususally sell them cheap or just keep them laying around the house..never know when somebody may just need the fronts..

Cool. Thanks. And will it drop the front end? I really despise the wheel gap.

Re: On3 Performance

coilovers are adjustable so you can set the height wherever you like... but if the back sets up like a truck you dont want to lower the front so low to where it just looks funny lol..

That's good news. I have 295s out back on 18s and with the mods I will be doing the rear will basically sit right on the tire. It's gonna be low. So I can't wait to drop the front. I'll get back to you on the kmember in a few weeks. How hard of an install is it?

Re: On3 Performance

i doubt you will be sitting on the tire..i had 335/30/18s on my true forged wheels and was slammed 2in in the back and didnt sit on my tires...but needed to roll fenders..

i when i had my chrome fr500s in 18s i had a 295/35/18 kdw's on the rear with a about 2.5in in rear and 2in drop in front and it didnt sit on the tires but it sat just right...

Re: On3 Performance

hellion is a way better kit... its all high name brand components..pipeing has a lifetime warrenty(is also made by bassani) can to make 800rwhp all you have to do is get a billet wheel 76mm and it looks great in the engine bay...but its 3k more than the on3 kit which most people with 2v's cant afford thats why alot settle with the on3 kit..it does what they want it to ever do and most dont ever go over 450hp so they are happy with it..

Re: On3 Performance

Cole,

BE CAREFUL! ordering just any K-member kit.
I did a bunch of research a while back and most K-member kits are for track/strip use only. They do not hold up to the pounding a street driven car will give them and can fail causing serious injury or death.

The only company that certifies their K-members for street duty is Maximum Motorsports. I contacted most of the others available and they do not guarantee theirs will hold up on street driven cars. Ask before you buy and be safe.
P.S. Some K-members have the option to reuse your stock A-arms and suspension if you desire to go that route.

slow02gt,

This sounds like you are shilling/selling for UPR, which is not allowed unless they are a vendor/site supporter. Also, you cannot sell anything until your post count reaches 100.
If this is not the case, I apologize for the misunderstanding.
