Antenna question

So I'm getting tired of the giant stock radio antenna but I don't want to lose reception quality
I know a lot of you have different antennas and I was wondering did you notice a difference in reception?
Better or worse
Just want some info
Thanks guys

I've got the 14" off AM it works fine from what I've noticed, I don't listen to the radio as much as I used too though.

Re: Antenna question

cut your antenna....use a hack saw...round off the end with a file...and you have 2 options here..

1. pull the ball off the cut off end and widen the hole to fit over the new end

2. add a plastic cap to be the tip (a small one of course)

decided to add a three

3. just leave the rounded end and it'll look fine...

my first mustang i cut to 6"...my GT i cut to 3"...and my current one is at 8"...signal is fine

Re: Antenna question

^^^That works too lol.

I have the 14" black shorty and haven't noticed any loss of signal...I use an Ipod adapter too and those are dependent on a good radio signal and it's worked fine..no complaints.

I bought 8" off am. The main local stations work but many are spotty. Thankfully I don't use the radio much. Looks good tho

Any stations that aren't local don't come in very well for me. I also don't live in the middle of town either so I'm sure that has an effect

I have the 8" shorty antenna, and the reception is a little more spotty than before.
