Springs

So I've been tossing around an idea for springs. I'm headin to the local roadcourse here in a couple weeks and would like to do cheap mods that would help improve how I do. I was thinking of buying a set of stock springs freon some wrecked car or somebody who upgraded to new ones, and chopping off about a coil or so. I figured that if I did that, it would a) lower my car and b) it would give me a much more ideal camber angle for road racing. I would only install them the night before I go to the track and then switch them back after I was done. I'm just curious what everybody thinks of that idea. I'm only 19 so I don't have a lot of money.

Re: Springs

you can cust the OEM linear springs if you want just to lower the car, but they must be cust with a cut off wheel etc and can not be cut with a torch or heated up as that modifies the rate.

I would try to hunt down some Ford Racing C springs they have a much better rate than stock (600/300 vs 400/200) and are cheap (100 or less used)
