Talking What does it take to outrun a Cobra?

I have a 99 Gt, I rebuilt it back to stock form, the only thing really done to it is the .20 over bore, but I dont think Id see any power gain from a .20 over bore.

But anyways since my car is basically stock, what would it take for me to stay with a Cobra, I dont mean the Terminators, I mean the 2001 model Cobra before the 03-04 ones.

I know Ill probably need every bolt-on possible, but are there any major bolt-ons that makes the biggest difference besides a supercharger? Which in the future I would like to get. But for now I want the major bolt-ons..

Thanks for any info.

YOu have an auto or manual? Is it modded or stock?

If it is stock. Then Full exhaust, great tune, cold air, manual 4.30 gears if auto stall and 4.10 gears

Its a 5 Speed. And its bone stock besides the small .20 over bore.

I can outrun a cobra. Hell I outrun gto's in my gt. full exhaust, cai, tb and plenum, 3.90 gears, 315 nittos, cammed UNTUNED. I beat a stock gto by about 2 cars. In case you didn't know gto's have stock about 405 hp do that's 145 more then our gts. I maybe have 330-350 hp. So it's a good chunk of change to get speed. Best advice for starters is gears and tires and a tuner

I know the previous owner and it had 760+ hp and it still had that tune lol stock with a tune for 60 lbs injectors lol needless to say I smoked it so the kid took it back lol where I'm from we don't have any termis Rollin around. I have a buddy building one right now but it's torn apart in his garage.

Lol I've got a set of trick flow heads sittin in my garage too cause I refuse to do that much work before forging it lol that should put me over 400 to the ground. Maybe even more. And that would eliminate the faults the 2v have of falling on their face in high rpm. lol beast off launch and beast all the way through the race. Alot of people forget the 4v have worse launch power then the 2v.

---------- Post added at 09:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:49 AM ----------

Everyone asks me why I don't just do the 4v swap and I say "I wanna show the possibilities of the 2v"

See i like that about the 2v. Its got major potential but people just like being able to say "i have a Cobra" lol I used to be that way with my V6 before I totaled it, it wasnt the fastest thing to hit the earth but it would give a stock Gt a run for its money and i always thought it was cool to have the underdog V6 staying with the big bad Gt's lol
Same goes for the underdog 2v stayin with a 4v.
