Ceramics will help keep heat down. Not to mention chrome will eventually discolor. It gets that heated steel blue hue to it. Not to mention you won't see them. Heat wrap em and forget about it.

Do your self a favor and watch the local classifieds. Craigslist and even the different forums. You will probably find new or lightly used sets for about half the price you are Gunna spend. If it's not show and shine then don't wast the money. The money you will waste buying new could pay for the mid-pipe you will need. And if your lucky you might find headers and mid-pipe for around 400$.

As long as you know what your buying and inspect it well you will be fine. I bought a set of bbk tuned length brand new for 220$ retails at least a 100 more without shipping.

Can't say I do. I'm a flowmaster guy. But I do know that if you have never heard longtubes on a mustang then YouTube it. Include prochamber H-pipe. You might find a good example. If it's catted it shouldn't be to bad. If not your neighbors will hear you a mile away. I knew a guy who had a o/r x pipe with I think Mac catbacks. It was almost deffening to stand behind just at start up. It might as well have been open headers.

Also you do know you need a shorter mid pipe and I think an x will flow beter and be mor beneficial to the long tubes.

Nope! I personally have long tubes, with the off road prochamber and flow 40s. I LOVE IT!!! You won't be disappointed I promise.

As for the headers, I agree with watching the classifieds. I bought my Hedman longtubes for 200 shipped and the were brand new regular 700. And I bought my prochamber slightly used for 125 shipped. Just keep your eyes open, ask lots of questions and look very closely at pics and you will be fine!

The prochamber is like a variation of an x and I knw you can use those. But as far as I knew I thought that h's won't work with long tubes? I could be totally wrong tho lol. If I am then go ahead and feel free to school me lol

Re: Headers

the prochamber is amazing! If i had a nickel for every person that told me that my car was the meanest sounding mustang they have ever heard then i could retire today. and if i could have a million dollars for every person who said they didnt like it.....id still only have $27 in my bank account lol

I bought my long tubes and off road xpipe with built in cutouts all 3in pipe for under $500 shipped from jegs and your mid pipe can be x or h or prochamber as long as the are for longtubes
