I don't believe a tune is required but it's def a good idea with any typical bolt on mod.

I didn't get a tune on mine after I put an H-pipe and flows on mine.

The only reason you'd need a tuner is to shut off the check engine light

To see any decent power gains with mid pipe and cat back is with the addition of a hand held tuner. Otherwise you won't see the true potential of your mods.

Just chiming in. I really miss my offroad H. So much better than tge X. Also, sorry sonic, but I HATE the prochamber modpipes. Don't sound right to me. I got so many compliments on my 96 gt with bbk o/r H with flowmaster original 30s. Everyone always knew where I was.

The h gives it more of a deep tone. The x is a little louder but it equalizes the flow better. And the x out flows period.

+126414!!!! I have an off road prochamber with my long tubes and flow 40's and i LOVE it!!! Everyone in town knows my car just by hearing it. If i had a nickel for everytime someone tells me i have the meanest sounding GT they have ever heard i could retire!!! And if i got a million dollars everytime someone said they didnt like it....id still only have $27 in my bank account lol

Look on YouTube. There's some good exhaust videos out there that will show the difference. I know there's a video of a white 02 GT that shows the difference in mid-pipes, but I can't remember the guys username

If you want sound then walk away from the x. There raspy. The H pipes give the best classic, deep, angry sound.
