You get about 20% drivetrain loss. That's why there's the difference.

As in why the numbers are different ? Because the engine as to move a lot of things and it has to go through the transmission and stock drive shafts are heavy and stock transmission gears aren't that great same for rear end gearing

Re: Stock HP?

I used my drag time and weight to find my approximit HP witch is 212, but keep in mind I could not hook up on the strip so im pry putting 220 at the wheels, not bad for an auto with just a CAI.

Heres a good place for formulas and other things,

Your drive train loss is actually about 15% for an auto and 12% for a stick!.. I've done that little math formula a few times before and mine comes out to be about 270hp!.. All I've got is just basic bolt ons!.. Lol. That puts me at about 315 at the crank (that's at the 15% loss)!..

All purely speculation until dyno'd, and no race is won on a dyno. Ever. With out at least a decent canned tune you can't expect to be getting the high end of the expected HP from each individual mod, you'd be much closer to the actual number with out a tune by using the lower end of expected gains from individual mods. Some expected gains from mods are based on the assumption you have other supporting mods you may or may not already have.

Very true too!.. And most companies out there publish their higher numbers for their parts!.. And if they were true then I would be pushing like 350hp at the crank!.. Wish it were true but it's not!.. Lol.
