Exhaust suggestions

My cousin has a 99 gt which has stock exhaust. He wants it to be louder so he is looking at the loudmouths. I suggested he get offroad x pipes b4 the LM and see if he likes that better b4 spending a lot of money on LM and it being too loud. Any suggestions?

Re: Exhaust suggestions

Sounds like a good plan to me but if he doesn't like the x sound then he would have wasted money anyway. Ay this point he should check youtube for any clips of the exhaust combos.

I have the magnaflow catback exhaust I personally think it sounds great. If you play it on your phone it doesn't sound all that good ( at least not on mine) listen to it with headphones or on good speakers.

Exhaust is a preference thing. If he wants stupid loud then go for the LMs and an offroad x. Personally I prefer the classic muscle car rumble you only get with original 30 and 40 series flowmasters. Couple that with an offroad H pipe and you will have loud and beautiful sound. Throw a couple high flow cats in and it quiets down nicely. But slp lms are cheap and they just make big noise...

Re: Exhaust suggestions

If you want cheap and good sounding ones go with summit racings. I got these and they sound great (not so much like the usual mustang sound) I noticed a little increase in preformance and they are not too loud, which is what I wanted. Only problem is you need to buy tips but you cant beat 200 for mufflers and the catback 2.5 inch.

The idle noise is very little louder than stock but when you give it some gas it sounds mean!
Ohh and no drone when they get broke in lol.
