Turbo Civic vs 99 Gt

Ok so i have this kid talkin **** about mustangs and sayin that even after i break mine in, i wont be able to touch him. So of course i wana prove him wrong. I dont really know much about his car except its just a single turbo. Idk if the engine is built either. And its an older civic, like mid to late 90's model coupe. Not a hatchback.

So has anyone ever raced one? What can you recomend me do to the stang to have a for sure win?

Ill try and gather more info on his civic too.

Lol all you have to do is race him around a corner. With 600 hp on a front wheel drive the torque steer must be ridiculous bad. I wouldn't even waste my time with a fed with that much power. Put your foot down and drift into the next lane cause you can't keep the wheel straight.

Fwd not fed

Ha ha. I tell him how stupid it is to drive a civic anyway and call it a race car but u can't tell them civic guys nothin lol

He said the only time he gets bad torque steer is when he got the slicks on other than that it won't hook up at all

He wont even know, he bought the car already like this and drives the **** out of it. He says he wont race me until he takes it to the shop for something. He knows nothing about cars so it would be a dumb question to ask him. But win or loose Im down to race him. I wont really know anything until we line em up and run em.

Lol that sounds like a generic tuner car owner. Buy the parts an have them installed instead of doing the work. The thing I hate the most is the tuners with the ridiculous paint jobs.

If both cars are putting out similar power then the advantage goes to the civic!.. Doesn't mean you can't win, just that the odds are against ya!.. But it also depends on what mods you have and what he is really putting down!..

Just put the bottle to your car and spray him and if you got a basic gt with bolt ons your not gonna win at all. I ran a turbo integra all stock in my 99 cobra and we were door to door and him break boosting he put a half a car on me. He put down 320fwhp completely gutted integra.

Ok updating this old thread.

We raced at a 1/4 mile track in town.

The Civic is running 10 PSI. He stayed with me until about 1/2 way down the track and i pulled away for the win everytime.

I'm a little bit surprised but congrates on the kill!.. Power adders usually have the advantage!.. But I guess the JJ car didn't have a chance against an American V8!... Lol
