Lemme Get a Guess-tamite.. And Traction Question

So I have 3.73 gears, a CAI kit by K&N, Upper Plenum and Motorsport Throttlebody... All of this is untuned, on a 2003 GT... Once tuned and all in sync, what can/should I expect at the wheels, and if it will be much, will I notice the change?

Also, what can I do to work on my grip? With my torque, I'm still spinnin' tires in 3rd gear...

Not sure about the power/torque question. As far as traction, I got some pointers.
1. Good tires! Not necessarily drag radials, just high quality performance tires.
2. Tubular lower control arms. There are plenty of good opens out there from companies like Maximum Motorsports and such.
3. Ford Motorsport HD upper control arms.

Yes you will notice the change, it might just be a little bit, but you'll notice it.

Learn to drive. I have 4.10s full exhaust cai and a tune. I have learned to feather the clutch well enough to not spin in first really at all. Learning to drive is the biggest mod you can do. About the HP, you might be looking untuned at 20 HP Max. Get it tuned so there all working together and you might 35 to 40. Plus get some exhaust on the pony so she can exhale!

+1

Learning how to launch and how to shift are crucial. When I went from factory 3.08 to 3.73 I nearly had to learn it all over again. Then when I stepped up to 4.10 I had to modify my driving all over again.

Yes, that is a guess, cars respond differently to mods but untuned I wouldn't look for big gains, especially with stock exhaust.

Re: Lemme Get a Guess-tamite.. And Traction Question

I've got the full catback h-pipe exhaust on it... and as far as learning to drive, im working on it. my take off/feathering is all down pat.. i sit at 3k, clutch half in and right before moving the car, then a quick shift in feet and hands and were rollin, but from there, im spinning.. idk, ill keep practicing on that.

As far as tires go, I highly recomend nitto 555, if that's too much then a good set of Nexen will work great too. Nexens really excell at cornering though. Also get adjustable shocks in the back and adjust them as needed.
