I have a 96 gt lowered on eibach ss springs and 18 inch fr500 I had 17 inch saleens and was wondering why my speedo was off by 5 mph with the 17 but not the 18 what could it be

It's because of the aspect ratio of your tires. They're taller/smaller depending on the tire size. A 245/45R17 is a different size (height-wise) versus a 285/35R18, it's just like changing your rear gears out.
