Dealers install aftermarket parts for customers.

But no warranty on parts unless the dealership buys it...right?

The dealer doesn't have to buy it, the part just has to be purchased from Ford, or Ford Racing. The Whipple probably comes with a warranty against defects.
A dealer will install anything most likely, if they want the money.

Ok, the'll install aftermarket parts and void your vehicle warranty too? Or because they installed the parts by a certified ford mechanic our warranty will not be voided? Someone school me on this please.

That makes sense

Don't quote me on this but I'm relatively sure if it's dealer installed then they will cover it. If they won't cover it then they will let you know or not install it.

Re: Dealer that installed a whipple?

Ford racing (which uses whipple) offers a supercharger packet for GTs and if its installed by Ford it can maintain some warranty. It is VERY VERY costly... but as is anything dealer related.

Thanks SpectorV. Absolutely there is no question that way.

I don't they think they will void the entire warranty, but if the part is found to have caused the problem then you may be in trouble.

Ok, I talked to a buddy with a whipple on his cobra. It was bought at ford racing and if they(ford) installs it your wRrenty is left untouched.
