Amber Lens in Headlights

Has anyone attempted to try and just break the 3 amber lens in peices out of the HL before? I have done this on many cars and looking at it, it looks possible. The ones Ive done this with still had the amber turn signal bulbs so the purpose is still there just the lens are not. Almost like ALL clear headlights.

Re: Amber Lens in Headlights

I only replied cause i searched threads and didnt find any. Figured a "bump" would be okay to find answer...seemed to have worked....Like i said ive done this before...on other cars...not sure if those reflectors are glued into inner housing or clipped in somehow...ive taken housings apart and in some cases broke the reflectors into pieces and pulled out. Wanted to see if someone has done it before is all

If the hl are aftermarket then they should. It isn't 3 little pieces. It's actually one piece that the three ambers clip into. If so then it's probably tack glued in 4 spots. That's how my wife's aftermarkets were. If you bake them to pull apart then do the same to put back together then silicone the seam.

You should paint to match while they are apart.
