The hunt begins

its been almost a year since I lost my 2004 Mustang. Since then I have been driving an old beat up 95 Acura Integra. I have have come to the final conclusion that I need another Mustang. I must have another Mustang. And with that, the hunt begins for a 2004 Mustang GT. I will not rest Until I behind the wheel of America's Favorite Pony Car......

Keep us posted on your hunt! I had a 2005 v6 that got t-boned by a Camry driving dumb *** - I replaced it with a 2005 GT. It only took me about 4-6 weeks to get it replaced but that whole time I felt weird driving anything but. A Stang- I'd see them on the road and it was painful.

Any particular color or options you after- after this long a wait you should get exactly. What you want!

Re: The hunt begins

Still in the hunt for my next Mustang. So far I have found some nice looking cars online via autotrader. But I have yet to sit be hind the wheel of one. I have broaden my search for the the years 99-04 as since this my favorite body style. I will keep everyone updated. God it feels good to be on the hunt....

I went about 5 years.. Although I did have an 87 during that time but saw little time on the road. Your car is out there enjoy the hunt as its as interesting as the purchase.

Re: The hunt begins

Update: talked to a few dealers. seems like all bought one have told me following " the car is not on the lot or sorry the mustang had just been sold. but come on in we have a great selection of used cars." Typical used car salesmen Bull

The Hunt Continues...

Re: The hunt begins

Hey glad to see you back man...I personally would opt for the 01-04 GT's since you get the cosmetic parts you added to your v6...hood scoop, side scoops, pedestal spoiler etc. Unless you don't care about the cosmetic stuff..a nice low mileage 99-00 is just as good too. I'd definitely go for the 5spd...the autos are just like the v6 autos...slushbox till you tune.

Keep up the search and keep us updated...the pursuit is half the fun

Sonic it is good to back. I missed every one here. And I miss driving a Mustang. I do want one with all the cosmetics of my old V6. especially if it was was Dark Shadow Metallic. That would be just oh so sweet. It be like I never lost the car. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Mach1. I just need to take my time and make the right choices.

The Hunt Continues...

Shopping for a Mustang is pretty much the definition of fun... That and modding
That was the most frustrating thing though, when you find something promising and it endsvup being gone...

Another thing to keep in mind is the fact pre 01 and some early 01's had the plug spitting heads..
