Test drive it and check it over closely!.. $4,000 seems fair!... But of course always offer less than what they are asking for!.. Lol

4k is a premium price for age and miles IMO.. Everything should work, AC etc.. And maint should be up to date, oil, tires, brake etc. I tell everyone to take a voice of reason who will not be blinded by looking at the car they want.. This is usually not the wife or GF, as generally they will say what they think you want to hear so they can leave lol

+11 on the voice of reason and maintenance!..

But KBB has it listed at about 5,000!.. So 4Gs is not really a premium price so long as every thing is in good solid working order!.. And so long as no body work or interior work is needed!..

Right on, was basing my guess on that it's a 96. Not a fan of non PI 4.6's.. Just my opinion so don't beat me up over the 4.6'a guys lol

Not trying to beat you up!.. Lol. Just trying to give some one as straight of facts as I can!.. Lol. Any time some one asks about a value on a car, the first thing I do is see what the KBB says!...

Looks like it has seat covers so I'd say seats are in bad shape.

Re: Mustang gt

Definitely test drive it. No smoke, oil leakage, any fluid leakage, seats are good, tranny shifts smooth and motors purrs..... pay 4k for it or try to offer less.. If not, offer 3000 depending on the faults being cosmetic. I went through mine with the owner and pointed out a few things and offered WAY les,s cash in hand and drove off with her...LoL

KBB is not really zip code based!.. Their "quotes" are based off of an average of what that same car is selling for across the country!.. What your thinking of is called Fair Market Value!.. What that car is currently selling for in your area!.. The two are similar but different!..

FMV can be tricky and screw you at the same time, it did me when I totaled my last car.

Lol. When I totaled my Monte the FMV was more than what the KBB had it listed for!.. In the end I was able to get the car repaired, pay for a couple collage classes (and books for those classes), make some other much needed repairs to it, and still had about $100+ left over!!... Lol. But yes it is kinda tricky!..

I wouldnt buy it. Too many miles. You can probably find a better sn95 for the same price with some patience. Or hunt out a good Foxbody for 4 grand...
