Not too sure about the fog lights but when I put LEDs in my stang I hooked up to the headlight/dash illumination on the back of my aftermarket deck, worked like a charm. LEDs come on with the lights and can dim as well

Re: 12v led light hook up 99 gt

HAHAAH You know whats funny?? I have the KIVBT900 Kenwood deck with Blue LED behind EXACTLY where yours are! haha and just splice into the Fog Light Switch! hah I ran mine to the battery with a switch, controlling all interior (With separate switches for individuals if i want) and Underglow. Im switching the blue for green though because I have green underglow and interior lights to green for a green accent.!

---------- Post added at 05:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:39 PM ----------

I'm thinking of putting led around my feet what do u think? I don't want it to be to crazy lol it's just so dark with tinted windows, and how did u wire it to your fog lights I might switch mine if it's not to hard

Mines going to remote and grounded behind the dash

I like the switch idea and the fog light would be perfect

Re: 12v led light hook up 99 gt

I have changeable colors for under my dash. it looks Gnarly at night. ill take pictures when it gets dark enough.. I have a 96 GT so there might be a difference in lighting situations... But, you can just trace the power wire from the switch, and once you can see it hits the lights, splice into it! or just run it to a switch like me and through a powered fuse. I setup my own fuse system because im running too many lights so i can't afford not to. I don't have a rear defroster so I just put the switch in That mount. ill show you later tonight

and I would Definitely keep the remote wire one single wire. if you have subs, your gonna want to have the stereo get as much "technology" or information to the amp as it can. I suggest you kill the tapping on your remote line and run it straight to the battery with a switch or anything i said above. I ran it all to a switch and to the battery. however I have a separate battery for my subs so i can run quite a bit on the original car battery.

The information that gets sent through the wire, for Most effective passing, needs all the wire it can. At least for that small of a wire. And If you were taping it to the remote wire, i suggest soldering or crimping. Best form of connection. You wont fry or melt anything, guaranteed. As long as its 12v which in most cars it is, then youll be fine... Just not ideal. Id say a power wire thats In the car, the fuse box, or attached to the battery is your best bet.
