I need new rims. What kind???

I am thinking about going black. I am already in the process of smoking out the lights. I have a set of FR500's in my cart on AM. Any other suggestions?

Yeah those are great you might also like the GT4's? They're pretty similar, I recently saw the 2010 Shellby Gt500's on a black terminator they looked great in black.....I was thinking of getting those myself for my 04Gt

what color is your top? Im asking only because if its black you should go w black wheels and since your gonna smoke your headlights it would be a nice red on black combo.

Re: I need new rims. What kind???

Hello All,

I viewed the FR 500 online because I didn't know what they looked like. Here is a question I pose to the buyer. Are you looking for looks or wheels that can stand up to abuse like hard launches? I wouldn't put my money on rims that could leave me looking like a Jack who busted those spinny little spokes, not cool. I know my pic dont do justice but I am sporting Bullit wheels (retro). They can take abuse alright.

Anyways I agree they would look nice on any car. The model style was common in Europe a few years ago.

My rims are like the ones Hawk posted but with more pizzaz.

If you are looking at serious launches you should be sporting semi solid big and little wheels...fr500's can stand up to a lot of abuse even though they look puny. Ford had them stock on some of their more powerful mustangs when they came out with them. I mean he'll look at the Godspeed omega wheels (pic included) its not necessarily the size of the spikes as long as they are made out of the right material and the spokes support the outer rim correctly.

I also included a pic of fr500s and Saleens in black chrome (my fav color) and my new rims!! 10th anni cobras

Re: I need new rims. What kind???

When I can afford it Im going to do 1995 cobra Rs in the shiney black, fronts 17x9 and the back 17x10.5. I like my chrome ones now but they are pitting from when I bought it so the black ones should last longer. Im also planning on keeping the 17x9s that are on it now and taking the chrome off and painting them and use them for winter wheels.

Haha. Yeah. I want something a little beefier, but the third is the closest to what I can find. Hard to tell by just looking at pictures online.
