Performance mods?

My father in law z28 is chipped and mine is stock I need to know some good performance mod to add just got my income tax back so any suggestions wold help thanks 4.6 motor

First off... welcome. Second.. there are hundreds of threads to choose from for performance mods for your car. I wpupd definitely suggest reading through some of those then coming back with more targeted questions. Makes answering a lot easier.

Will help you not miss shifts but not going to pick up any performance. What year is the Z? Taking down an F-body Z is a tall order for your GT. I'd say there's no cheap mod to get you there but a PI swap is a good start. The heads will need porting, and you'll need full bolt ons to get there.

But there is a diff pi between those years...

All 99-2004 are PI!.. All 96-98 are non PI!.. Yes the compression is a little different between the two!.. So when you put PI heads on a non PI motor it raises the compression some!.. In which case you will have a motor that now puts out more HP than a stock PI motor!..
