How about take apart the engine and get all brand new internals and then you'll make some great power and turbo or supercharger after?

If you already know your going turbo, then id build a solid forged short block. If you buy heads, cams, etc then you wont be able to fully utilize them with the turbo until you get a better bottom end

For me, I don't usually have $5k all at once to spend on my car so I would buy the most expensive item in my plans first and collect the rest later. So for u, I think you should go ahead and get the turbo kit now and wait to install it until you get the rest of the items you need before you can install it. That way your plans don't stall out.
BUT if ur rich and u can aford that easy then whatever lol
