Lets See Those Hood Pins

Ok, I just came in from finishing the install and the adjusting of the Cowl Hood. I am ready to start looking for some hood pins. I completely rid myself of the latch as it is just a pain in the *** and I would rather just go out and undo some pins and lift.

So from that we leas ourselves to Sharing time!!!

post up those pics of the hood pins and explain why you chose to locate them where you did if you could. Thanks!!!

Re: Lets See Those Hood Pins

I will have to sell the hood/scoop as a combo, because I cut a hole in the hood below the scoop, just big enough to still retain the old bolt holes, and pretty much made it a functional scoop. I was going to work on making an intake too it, but I set that plan on the backburner and never got back to it.

Let's see, I know you've already seen my setup but I'm sure my install thread has long since died already. So, here it is for those that missed out on my awesomeness! Lol
I'm running a set of Aerocatch Flush Mount Hood Pins. I got them from eBay for $65. I installed them myself. I positioned my pins at the corners of the hood because I still use my factory latch and the corners is where I saw the most lift at 135+mph. (On a private road of course.)

Aerocatch makes two types of Flush Mount kits. There's the top mount like mine and the bottom mount like this

I'm really happy with my setup. I've already had a few people comment on my pins at gas stations and at work.
Btw Josh, since you're no longer going to use your factory hood latch, you're gonna need a set of locking pins (Which Aerocatch also carries.) And might I suggest that you use TWO sets. One on each corner and another set towards the middle. The middle should be the locking set. That would look really unique! Good luck bro!

These are mine just installed them today. I put them on the corners cause there were holes for the rubber hood stops already there. I also got rid of my factory latch cause it was bent and was a huge pain to open. Whatcha think?
