Re: mach 1 chin spoiler

It sits below the bumper ~2.5"-3" at an angle.

I've had mine on for years and never had any issues at stock ride height.
Just have to watch out for parking barriers lol.

When I lowered, that changed things...I lowered ~2" so I had to enter steep driveways at an angle. Some driveways to businesses I could no longer enter because I would scrape the chin spoiler.

Re: mach 1 chin spoiler

No, and I've hit some nasty ones since I've had the spoiler on...at stock height I didn't scrape...lowered I would probably tear the damn thing off

The biggest thing is to remember you have that extra 3" of material under your bumper. Don't want to bend or rip it off on a parking barrier or curb..other than that you shouldn't have any problems.

Spend the extra money and get the factory Ford Mach 1 spoiler the one from AM is so cheap looking and shiny cheap plastic. The OEM one is flat textured plastic with a much cleaner finish

Yah this is true but the OEM ones are twice the price...if he wants to spend that to get the OEM one thats fine, but I've seen plenty of OEM ones on Mach 1's beat to hell. I guess it depends on how much you'll abuse it and how much into "detail" you are.

I actually like my glossy plastic one..put a nice layer of Meguiars shine on and it looks hot on the car.

Re: mach 1 chin spoiler

Did a quick search and found it for 149.99 on stangsuspension.com.

There might be something cheaper on ebay or another site.

You could also try a salvage yard and get one off a wrecked Mach 1...unfortunately there are quite a few of them off the road.

I believe they sell the factory Ford one on Late Model Restoration. I'd rather buy the Ford one. I have the one from American Muscle and I'm a bit disappointed. It isn't exactly flush with the bumper and the finish sucks.

Why the hell would I buy a honda? Just because its a bigger spoiler doent make it a ricer, u calling cobra Rs ricers? Or how about competition mustangs? Many have bigger spoilers to keep the rear end down. Now if I got a double stack wing thn id b a ricer

Dude +1 on the Cobra R wing. I have that on mine, and with the combo of that and the chin spoiler it looks awesome. Get 315 wheels for the rear and it will really set your car off. That's what I have on mine and past that I've never seen anyone else with the combo. The wing is more ricer than other options but just that alone is unique and different.

That being said, don't buy that hood. I think it will look ridiculous. However it's your car. I just don't recommend it.

I've seen it done. It's not bad but I like the matte black plastic look better, even on black cars.

All the chrome? Black and chrome is the meanest combination for a car, theres a black n chrome cobra, (08 or 09) at a local dealership, and its the meanest thing ive ever seen, the spider x hood looks just like the stock but with a lil bit bigger hood scoop and more defined lines, if I was gunna make it look like a ricer, id put a fart can on it, a 4ft tall spoiler, FAKE hood scoop, and brag about how it has 600hp with a 300hp tune or turbo
