Considering a new car

I had a 2000 V6 Mustang right after I graduated high school. I loved that car, but had to get rid of it. Ever since then I've wanted to get another one. Now I'm looking for a GT. I found this one, but I can't decide. It looks a little rough, but the mileage is low for the price. Not sure about the color either. Definitely needs new wheels. What do you guys think?

Mileage 89,516
Exterior Color Amazon Green Clearcoat Metallic
Interior Color Medium Parchment
Body Style Coupe
Doors Two Door
Engine 8 Cylinder Gasoline
Fuel Type Gasoline
Drive Type 2 wheel drive - rear

That would be a great deal around me. They are between 7-13k with usually over 125k miles on em. Most of them being in the 160k to 170k mile range.

Re: Considering a new car

I feel the same way. I haven't seen it in person because it's like 3 hours away from where I live. Something just seems odd about it. Can't quite put my finger on it though.

Re: Considering a new car

I'm not in Ohio. I live in west/central Indiana. That's why I haven't been to look at it.

Re: Considering a new car

Price is decent for the miles, but the condition is fair...just from pics it looks like the front bumper is roughed up, the driver's seat is worn, the steering wheel needs replacing...but most important is the mechanicals of the car.

Engine, transmission, rearend, braking etc..all those systems/components should be checked out thoroughly before buying. If there's some minor mechanical issues like belts, filters, or even a fuel pump needing replacing, then I'd say still get it, those fixes are doable.

In 2000 there were 2 green options: Electric and Tropic..I'd say this one is Tropic as that's the darker green, Electric is much brighter.

Also, it looks like the car has exhaust and the hood scoop was added, as the 99/00 regular GT's didn't come with hood scoops.

Hope this helps and let us know what you decide
