Switching to Synthetic

I have 123km on my car bought it as is from a ford dealer ship there not to sure if it had synthetic in it or not it's a 99 gt?

Nah, synthetic will mix with it. If ur worried, just change it again with RP or flush it.
Don't like synthetic?

The mechanics are saying that synthetic will loosen everything up and it might do damage because I have 123km most people run synthetic with 25km

I've heard that before, I didn't want to believe it. I thought it was supposed to be the best thing for a car. What's the deal with that

What I have heard is if you use synthetic when it has been run on a lower grade, the better oil will shift a lot of fine particles that will be like running a fine sand through the engine. You can change to synthetic but if you do, do an extra oil and filter change after 500 miles to get the crap out and it should be ok.

I'm not an expert though
