How much do you guys think it's cost to switch a 2003 mustang gt from an automatic to a 5 speed?

How hard would it be for me to go to auto then, I might be interested in a swap. My wife can't drive a 5-spd if her life depended on it.

It's the same amount of work goin from auto to 5 SPd or 5 Spd to auto. The hardest part of the swap is switching out the pedal assembly.

Keep the auto do a custom valve body and a 3200 stall converter. Oh and don't forget the 4:10 rear gears. Ha that's the set up I have with my 4R75W trans. I have several different trans tunes with my SCT 4 position tune switch.

I'm pretty sure you right... I blew something on the driveshaft. Do you think it's cheaper to rebuild or replace

If u are eventually gonna build your car for power, replace it and rebuild your current one slowly to be better than it was

T-45 is also a 5 Spd tranny.

If you can find a good used 5 spd for cheap I would replace it and like the other guy said just rebuild your current one so you can have a spare. There easy to rebuild.

Yes the t45 is a 5 speed for the older sn95 (94-98) I'm sure there are some mounting differences...and I would assume that the 3650 is a step up from the t45 or ford f'ed up..

I have a t45 in my 2000 gt. There is no mounting differences at all. The 4.6 is all the same in all these years.Heck if you really want to you could put a t45 on a 03 cobra lol. I think they started using the 3650 in the 2001 gt.
