Need some advice from you mustang experts

Hey guys, I was thinking about boring out the 4.6 to the 5.0 was wondering how much it would cost in parts, and labor. And if any one has done it to throw in there opinion about the subject.? Thanks

Why would you do this? Any reason ou need to? If your doing it to just do it you will be waisting your money.

Re: Need some advice from you mustang experts

if your using stock cams etc . doing nothing else ,you would pick up 20-25hp and also a nice jump in torque !!!!!
good to do if your block is due for a rebuild ,otherwise not worth it just to do it

If your want to bore and stroke it to 5.0 its doable and with a forged stroker kit you.can gain some hp, but most forged stroker kits are developed for high rpm na engines or big boost engines. It is not often cost effective to just bore /stroke at stock compression.
