Re: Seriously.. i need help.

first of all what fuel pressure regulator did you buy?

second there is 2 bolts that hold it on the rail, and 2 gaskets you need to swap from the stock one to your new one after you relieve the fuel pressure of course.

Re: Seriously.. i need help.

what year is your car? they went from return style to a returnless system in 1998. if it is returnless, the pcm regulates the voltage to the pump which varies the fuel pressure. you wont need a regulator you will need a fuel pump driver module.

ok thats good to know right there, its either the pump, the fuel pump driver module or the pcm or the circuits in between. the fuel pump driver module should be in the trunk somewhere. I personally havent dealt with this problem before since ive never owned a mustang newer than 97.

i cant find specs for proper resistance or voltage to the FPDM. so I would take it back to him and have him put an osciloscope on those parts and find the bad piece. based off what you gave for info i would say its probably not the wiring or pcm but don't quote me on that.
