Def worth your money. H pipe is more deep. While the x is more raspy. The prochamber is very unique. I bought the x pipe and am VERY pleased

I had the Mac exhaust in my 03. It was the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard! Loved that car! Go with the pro chamber! You will not be disappointed!

If you have a tuner you can just turn them off!.. Other wise get the MIL eliminators!.. They trick your car into thinking the exhaust is still stock!..

There is most definitely a difference. I have heard all 3 on GTs with the same flowmaster cat back (x, h, and prochamber) and all 3 sounded different. Go with the prochamber, you wont be disappointed!

Prochamber sounds sweet, I had an X on mine but If I did it again would likely go prochamber.

Yeah, that's true, but remind him that it doesn't compensate for real air input to the engine. I heard that Mil elims are more for the custom tuner. It's a quick fix though but listen for spark knock just in case (I know, I'm a party pooper). Don't want to think its all good and it really is not.

True, true but I have no idea what a MAC is. I have flowmasters catback, with BBK X pipes feedin the tune into them. Of course, as I improved my car I found out that the sound of the exhaust muffler sound is more pronounced by the type of flow restriction in front of them. The more restriction, the less volume. Least restriction (free flow w/out cats) is the best each will its tune.

Personnaly, I like my Flows because I can actually get them to wind up without much speed. I attribute it to the flow system I have, from the air filter through the motor and the express flow out the rear end.

When I wind it up at the light in first gear, stepping it up to 4K really makes it scream, and probably freak folks out. Most cars behind me fall back because of the tail pipe tune. Heh, heh.

Now you chose. A Gt 500 sound alike, or your very own engine tune, personalized. Heh, heh. Oh, yeah, flows are dang expensive too. Still feelin the pinch.

Drive on bro. I like it. your choice. Good choice. Post some tunes when you can.

Still, its up to Big227. Just to end the dillema, 227, what are you looking for in muffler sound? Sound off, and I am sure you'll get the response your lookin for. Loud mouth, Whine, Attack, Heart wrenching putting thte scare in somebody?

Flows, do put the scare in ya, cuz it sounds like pure motor rage not exhaust note. I love em.

Re: Off Road H pipe

pro chamber is SWEET! i got the pacesetter non-catted h for like 100 bucks, to go with my bbk shorties and flows. i wanted either an 'h' or a prochamber because i like the deeper muscle sound.. the h was a lil less costly. not disappointed at all by the sound, but if i had a lil more money to waste.. i wouldve gotten a mac pro. also, theres not too many companies that make h pipe shorties for our body styles either. imo... "h" or "pro" is the way to go!

Re: Off Road H pipe

hey guys... preparing to do my exhaust (mac pro-ch or straight h with a mac or f/m40 cat back) and was wondering if you have any tips for getting at and loosening the manifold bolts?

does removing starter help? also did you all find you needed a pass side flange gasket?

any help greatly appreciated!
