Vibration after getting my 4.10's installed

Just got my 4.10 installed in 3rd and 4th around 60kmh 3,0000rpm,

there is a bad vibration and getting on the high way there is a bad vibration, the mechanic said that I don't have to break them in.. But it vibrates so bad on the highway.. Should I just take it easy and void what the mechanic said?
Some forums state that people leave the shop with the car side ways just going full out others say to break it in ?

Re: Vibration after getting my 4.10's installed

I personally have never "BROKE IN" gears. I am on it from the get go! Vibration could be from the driveshaft.... Had the u-joints replaced?? Or as i did when I went to 4.10's I went with an aluminum drive shaft.

Take it back to the shop!!!! That vibration could ruin the seals in you rear end and tranny.

x2 Hopefully it's not the driveshaft but you're spinning it alot faster now. Let us know how you make out.

The pinion is bent thanks AM!

---------- Post added at 04:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:56 PM ----------

Now I have to spend an other 400$ to get it taken out and put the old one back in so I can drive to work and then spend an other 400$ to get the warranty part installed again....

---------- Post added at 04:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:57 PM ----------

Does anybody have any advice on how to get my labour covered since its not my fault that the part came bent from the factory ?

It's not AM's fault if it came from the factory that way. If the pinion is in fact out of factory spec from the factory that's who you need to contact. Chances are they will claim they were installed incorrectly and try to refuse the claim. Are they FRP gears?
