Well I have a cold air intake, a flow master, under drive pulleys, it's not a lot but may be in the future if I get a cheap super charger I would put it in. A friend told me it would be good a stage 1 but I don't know the a decent brand and I'm gonna need a flywheel too right?

Center Force Dual friction. They have the best release bearing, lightest pedal and if adjusted properly will last a long time.

I'm glad you started a thread on this because I'm now looking for a clutch. I'm looking between a SPEC stage 1 or center force but who sells the center force for a good price. Mine is a everyday driver and I don't want a heavy peddle.

I would just go with the ford racing clutch, I have had problems with specs stage 1 and stage 2. I do here nothing but good about ram clutches also!

I had a ford racing clutch in my previous mustang and it was a very stiff clutch. Plus they don't make one for the 02 GT by what I've seen. Is your clutch peddle heavier than stock?

I have a few friends that have spec clutches.. they are really good I've drive. there cars but they all made the same mistake wen they bought the clutches.. u have to buy the ford racing throw out bearing and ford racing pilot bearing to use with spec clutches they all broke within 3000 miles they replaced them and the clutches are great now might as well skip the head ache

Yes but I had a spec clutch disc come completely apart within a few months I blamed it on not being adjusted properly so I bought a second spec and ya your definitely right on the Throwout bearing, cause it didn't last long and shavings of metal got on the clutch disc and rubbed metal to metal, so I went basically stock with ford racing and so far it has worked for me flawlessly

Any places that I can buy it at? Another question, do I have to buy the flywheel also or I can use the one it has right now? If I use the stage 1 clutch

I'm pretty sure u can only use a spec clutch with the spec flywheel actually I'm 100% thinking about it but go to American muscle and read the technical. ite at the bottom of the description of the clutch u want I'm pretty sure the stage 1 works best with the steel flywheel
