Don't buy anything you would want to own. So your not asking to drive it. Seriously.

I'm throwing out the BS Flag.....just because she is a "girl" does not mean she can't drive a car as good or better than a man. The cobra is only as venomous as you let it be. Drive it like a grandma it's gonna drive like a stiff Buick.

As long as she can control it....you will just end up having to "mod" a gt cause it won't go fast enough for her

Re: girl

If you guys are definetly going to get married after her return from basic then you may want to go ahead and tie the knot now. If she will be gone for 6 months then she will be on active duty for that period of time. When a guard unit is activated they are entitled to all the benefits of the active army. Meaning if you are married to her and she is gone for 6 months you will be entitled to a full allowance for housing. This is calculated by zip code.i am in fort Lewis WA and e1- e4 housing allowance is 1250 dollars a month. Mine is even more.Anytime you must be away from your spouse for more than 30 days you are also entitled to 250 dollars for every 30 days away from a spouse when you are on active duty. You could always do a small justice of the peace wedding then a big ceremony when she comes back. I don't know if her recruiter told her any of this. You could be leaving 5 to 10 grand on the table. As for the car get her a camaro to keep the household interesting. Haha

Re: girl

Also her "boot camp" should only be 8 or 9 weeks the rest of the time she will be in a much more laid back setting known as ait. Basic covers how to be a soldier. Ait is advanced individual training and it is training for whatever job or MOS she has chosen. She will be able to have cell phone and much more freedom after the initial 8 or 9 weeks. Good luck to you guys

Re: girl

Doesn't matter how long you have been engaged. All you need is a marriage certificate. It's not something you have to do man. I'm just trying to let you know because sometimes recruiters fail to mention this stuff cuz it means more work for them. Do a google search for bah calculator. It will prompt you to enter your zip code. Then it will tell you how much money is allotted every month for housing in your area. I was kidding about the camaro. C'mon man you didn't think I was serious right?

Lol, I was joshing about the camero thing...the only reason I won't buy one is because GM is making fatal mistakes with their cars and I want nothing to do with them....prime example is my Inlaws 07 suburban that we can not get a correct hub for...apparently his 4x4 hub does not exist

Re: girl

It's all good man. I have owned both. I put cams in the camaro and it had more hp than my mustang. I always thought it was better than a mustang. Lol now I have a mustang basically stock except 3:73 and a tune and the mustang is way more fun than the camoro was. I love it. I don't really hate other brands. I like all muscle cars but my mustang is more fun hands down.

Yup mine was lt1 97. Opti spark distributer was garbage. If it got wet it was done. After the cam was installed in mine, it had an intermittent miss at higher rpms. Threw parts at it. Couldn't fix it.
