Re: Anyone installed the CDC lightbar?

I installed the one on my 99 Saleen about 8 years ago, don't remember any gotchas's, pretty easy install as I recall. I have the Saleen light bar which is made by CDC, it just doesn't have the big CDC plaque on it. Did you also buy the wiring relay for the rear brake light? You need a special relay so that the brake light doesn't activate when the top is up....

After looking at your bbk I'm wondering if mines installed wrong...when I took the maf off the stock housing there was a screen with a rubber thing on there that didn't look like it came off. The bolts barely fit and the plastic is about a 1/4 in from the metal but looks sealed by the rubber gasket....yours looks flush together.

Re: Anyone installed the CDC lightbar?

If its on there and it works... leave it! The saleen. cover makes the light bar fit all together just so perfect! I got the bar and cover for $300 it was a deal I couldn't pass up! And luckily for me the kid I got it from had a crystal white cobra... just a shade off from the oxford white, so I didn't have to paint it. I just painted the black part on it. All the white was just too much.

Yeah your car looks sick....the only thing I'm worried about is the bolts barely fit and they are just in hand tight....I'm scared they will fall out. I think I'm gonna put some blue locktite on them

Nice! How long did it take you? How was the difficulty on a scale of 1-10?

Re: Anyone installed the CDC lightbar?

Here's what mine looks like... Kar Kraft used to make a 2 piece speedster cover,
that's what's on the car. Nice thing is, you can fit both pieces in the back seat with
the top up and get 2 people inside the car... The one piece cover from Saleen
won't (easily) fit inside the car with the top up.

Versus here's what it looks like with just the regular convertible boot cover...

I'm getting a set of the speeder covers like that, and maybe a Mach 1 hood
