What do you think?

Hey guys, check this out:
http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/2890123732.html
My mom is looking for a car and this is in our price range, realizing that we'll have to put a little more into it. Looks nice and clean, but the cobra emblem would be coming off for sure.. discuss!

Hmm... Says tires are okay, but that front rim is sitting on the ground..

Not bad at all. Needs some work but you could have that thing up and running again.

It does kind of seem like that person just wants to get rid of it so they don't have to fix it. Haha. Talk them down on the price?

"no lowballers not lowering it".
seems like a lot of money invested to just let it go like that. I'll run it by her, see what she thinks.

It would be a daily driver.

Haha James, there's probably a lot of Houston CL ads we're both looking at then.

If you don't have the cash to put down on it I would buy it. If your living it Texas you most defiantly have a lot more mustangs to chose from. There's been about 4 or 5 mustangs I thought about driving down there for.

For that money there is something the the seller is not being up front about. When buying cars ppl have swapped engines in there can be tons of nickel and dime things left to do.

People put cobra emblems on anything.. I've seen 'em on Expeditions. First thing I'd do is check the VIN make sure it's an actual GT.

Re: What do you think?

I would be kind of leery, seems a little scary to me. I'm with the consensus that you may be inheriting someone else's problems.

Yeah.
Anytime I look at cars I have to assume the seller is straying from the truth in some way or another. It's a sad thing, but it's the way it is.
Everything needs to be checked, and double checked.
