Help Me Spend My Tax Return

I got just under $3000 back and it's going to the stang.
I'm looking to do 4.10s 1st then clutch (daily driver) but not sure which one every clutch has good and bad reviews. AM swears by the new Exedy clutch for dd. Next is H&R lowering springs with new shocks struts.

Does this sound good, because I would like to get stage II comp cams after that, I really want to do cams after that and do them myself. I've seen all the vids on YouTube and some write ups and they are not very detailed. So let me know what you think.

Or should I just do a Vortech Supercharger and be done.

LT headers
Cams
A bada$$ handling pack(not sure what's offered for your yr model)

..........

Or a blower, that would be awesome. But with only $3000 you're probably better off with the first option. That's what I would do anyways

O yea, forgot about the gears. Everyone seems to love 4.10's but personally I love my 3.73's. For a dd 4.10 seems a little much especially with gas prices, but it's your car so do what makes you happy

Yea it's just a stock gear. I'm leaning towards the supercharger but it's hard to find a cheaper one used. Corral forum has them but I can't post or reply to anything it blocks me says I don't have access.

Re: Help Me Spend My Tax Return

i dont know wut the stock ratio is for ur car... i thought it was 3.27 for a v8. how much is a new blower?

im not a fan of used blowers. unless u trust who ur gettn it from. even more importantly if it is ur first blower.

are u gonna install it yourself or no?

there r sum cheaper kits on ebay that are new. educate urself on blowers and their components. cause their are sum builders kits available also.

Re: Help Me Spend My Tax Return

if you dont plan (really plan) to go much above stock power level and you dont drag race the car at the strip an OEM style clutch might be just what you need and can save you some cash.... plus a stiff clutch gets old (but many now have good holding but are not stiff... they just dont feather as much so they are either on/off)

with 3k you can either do one big thing you wouldnt normally get to do or a few little... hard to decide.

Yea I do more street driving and would like a lighter clutch. I've had the ford racing king cobra and it wasn't comfortable to drive everyday, it was on my last car. Yea not sure if I just want to do the supercharger or do a lot of little things. My worry with a supercharger is even if I do a lower hp kit I can still spin a rod bearing or throw a rod.

lets say u do a 6lb kit... a properly tuned blower isnt any harder on the motor than if it wasnt there.

most ppl wit a blower, not all.... but most will tell u they wish the blower was their first mod.

im one of them... getn cams, heads and intakes is great... but the blower is most bang for ur buck.imo

i make more hp with stock heads, cam and blower than my counter parts with waaay more money in their motor naturaly aspirated.

they got aluminum this, and forged that, big valves... and i still blow their doors off.

im running a pushrod.... but im sure it would be the same on a 4.6 with 6-8psi. and a decent tune. versus running a set of stage 1 or 2.

again, im not a mod motor expert, its just my opinion.

if someone here is making more power with a standard stroke 4.6 and cams, than with a blower... im sure they will stand up and correct me. cause i can learn a thing or also...lol.
