Quick question about rotors

I'm looking to upgrade my pads and rotors soon.. Other than looks is there any other reason why I should buy the slotted rotors? Or should i jus get regular rotors and good pads? My car is a DD and im not a hardcore street racer.. I'm just looking for good stop ability..

The drill n slotted rotors are more than mere looks.... The grooves allow more air in which keeps the rotors cooler which then last longer. Also it keeps the brake dust to a minimal with the grooves. I've learned you can get away with cheaper rotors but should get good quality pads. Far as brand, depends on your budget.

It's personal preference. If you have the money go with Baer eridispeed two piece rotors like I have on my 04. You will get the benefits of crossed drilled slotted rotors as well as save a bunch I weight on all 4 corners.

I just recently upgraded to drilled and slotted rotors from my factory. They r the same disc size but just d/s. And i can tell a world or difference. I got the whole set on sale at mustangsunlimited.com. They were 200 for front and rear rotors and pads. Like i said a world of difference. Doesn't seem like it has to struggle to stop anymore

Re: Quick question about rotors

basically its all for looks, dont go drilled if you do anything. Cheap ebay rotors wont last long. You get what you pay for.

Will do. Their feedback is excellent so I'm hoping for some decent rotors

Re: Quick question about rotors

I've had my Ebay rotors on for 2 years now and have had no problems.

I got them from Rotorpros on Ebay...Hottcobra and Purevenom recommended them to me back then and I've been happy so far.

They give you the options to drill/slot/dimple or leave them blank, and paint the hubs to match your car/wheels.

I believe they were ~280 for all 4 rotors/pads, so not too bad, just something to look into.

I've had drilled and slotted rotors from ebay for 2 years on my old gt. Ran them hard and they never warped. I had those things damn near glowing and they were in perfect spec. The mach one got another ebay set and they're awesome. Pads they sent were too big in the ready u tho. I recommend buying quality pads locally and getting the rotors on ebay.
