New noise from the rear

As driving to work today and I heard a barely audible popping sound from the drivers side rear wheel while accelerating, when I let off the gas it turned to a light metal rubbing sound (not quite grinding)....

Have not gotten a chance to pull the wheel yet...think it could be time for new breaks or something else??

Re: New noise from the rear

Mine has done the same thing, the popping only when I have a passenger behind me. The rubbing I get after I Really get on my car, I think it is a support thing in that area that gets deflated.
