Yeah but even as a DD, youll regret not going 4.10, trust me!

But sounds good though, do you have a tuner?

If you can do all three then go that route!.. If not then I would do gears and a tuner instead!..

I would suggest going smaller w/ the tb. I had a 78mm. It's amazing at the top end, but you get serious lag in the low end(>2k rpm). A 75 is good for the mid range, and a 70 is good for the low end, depending on how you drive.

I'm on another thread and if I do a sc later a78 would be better with a sc

Tune and gears definitely. Quick, simple, and fairly inexpensive with lots of boost in performance. Maybe do full exhaust next?

Yea, but I've seen many different mustangs with 4.10 axles and many of them that had it as a DD wished it was a lower gear

I've driven both 3.73 and 4.10. The later was funner but would be irresponsible for a DD

If its a DD and you drive everywhere I'd just go 3.73 I'm sure will be satisfied.

---------- Post added at 06:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:27 AM ----------

I'm not gonna go any higher than 3.73

Have have 4.10s and mine IS a DD! Its not as bad as most would think or say it is. Granted gas prices are high right now but i fill up 93 at 55$ and get 300 miles to a full tank. At most, daily I drive 30-40 miles. Ive driven a buddys car with 3.73s and its not much of a difference from stock gears. To each his own, but if youre gonna go with gears, IMHO, 4.10s are the way to go.

You jus live so damn far away! Lol. I may be buying 373 for $50 today, may switch to 410 at some point. Buy ultimately I'm gonna SC it and I've hear 410 is tooooo steep for SC's

Re: Mods

Unless you're getting or already have a tubor/sc.. you really don't need a larger TB. Save the money or put it towards another mod. You'll notice a minimal gain of HP (like 1 to 5). The only real difference you'll notice is that you'll hit WOT with much less pedal pressed. Instead of typically hitting WOT at 80 - 90% throttle pressed, you'll hit it at like 50 to 65% which leaves the remaining amount as a dead pedal. My recommendation for gears is 4.10s for an auto or non DD, or 3.73s for a stick and DD. If you don't mind 1 - 3 MPGs less, or 100 - 300 RPM higher at cruising speed, then 4.10s are CERTAINLY more fun. I've heard someone else say it, and I told them I was gonna repeat it, forget miles per gallon and measure in smiles per gallon. Hope all this helps!
