Lol j/k I had to...

4.10- a little more fun, less gas mileage (not much), more spinning, about 2-300 higher rpms at 55 on the highway.

3.73-better gas mileage than 4.10, still fun, most prefer this for 5 speed DD's

They say 4.10's are...I personally would never own a automatic mustang...so never had to worry about it...

My car is a dd but I do all city driving and I will be my weekend worrier after this year so mine as well do 4.10s.

WOW!! I got a shop here who's putting in my 4.10's plus the Trak Lok rebuil kit, an aluminum driveshaft, a centerforce clutch and lightweight flywheel and a short throw shifter for $800. I'd say no way to the dealer too!!! I'd do it all myself except the gears, but I'm lazy and it's still chilly out.

Always wondered why 410's won't pick up the pace when I push into 120+.

$800 is about right for a dealer. 4-600 at a pro shop.

I paid 420$ for x pipe and gear install at the best shop in my area. It all depends on where you live. If a dealer wants 800 and a shop a 100 miles away that would do it for 400, id take adrive with a quickness!

The small local shops that you really never pay attention to will have the best prices usually. Not big name shops.

That may be true.. But a performance shop near my hometown quoted me $315 for the gear install and delivered on it.

I believe that, but they could have designated gear installers that do nothing but that. Most no name shops have a handful of techs and mechs that know a lot but 1 minute are doing shocks then next customer tie rods etc etc.

Well since then I've referred friends to the shop with issues ran gig from blown spark plugs, to fuel pump failure, to electrical issues. Apparently this shop is just good at a lot of stuff. :p

Member! Had em for about 3 months now, love em, and installed em myself!

Just remember you need a tuner to correct the speedo! At least on 99 and up cars!
