tryn to save a few bucks

First time on here so take it easy. I ordered a cai couple days ago and I was Wondering if I could use my k&n filter on a cheap cai? Think it was a stack racing. I heard all cai are same just dif filters. I got 96 ft. Stock except air filter and someone cut mufflers out

Haha you have an identical stang to me!! Literally! But as long as the tubing diameter is the same as the filter it will work!

I had a 96 gt with the k& n filter and I too was hoping to use my filter but it wasn't even close to fitting. You will need an adapter for some kits.

Re: tryn to save a few bucks

Thanx guess ill be patiently waiting for it to get here. Took air silencer out but that didn't do nothing (didn't expect it too) was going to get pulleys and spacer but had to get brakes and rotors. Cross drilled on front and OE on back. Would that work? Can't afford them all way around. Not with 2 kids. Keep u posted when they arrive

As long as your rotors are matched stop you have the same fronts and the same rears. Might look a little funny. If you want to save some cash look into a set of ebay. I've had a couple of great sets of rotors from ebay. For les than 200 with pads for a set of drilled and slotted rotors. gl.

Never heard of them. Check ebay man. The rotors I got were actually stoptek for the fronts. Really high quality, perfect fit and they really are better than oem.

Re: tryn to save a few bucks

Rotorpros is another decent Ebay company for brakes. I ordered my slotted/cross dimpled rotors and pads from them a couple years ago...still on the car doing great. I think they were 280 for all four, so you might be able to get 2 for less.

Re: tryn to save a few bucks

Ye I spent fee hours looking and they have all kind of stuff. Was looking at black headlights but wouldn't they make lights not so bright. Remember leaving headlight covers on(accidentally) and they dimmed ur lights. They would look nice. I be back on eBay tomorrow looking for ideas thanx everyone
