It could evaporate if you have a hole....or you could have a hole and be leaking, have you checked the ground for puddles, or evidence of a leak, if it's a slow leak it would evaporate before you find it..

I don't smell any gasoline, and there's no leak around, I douth it that someone could be stilling it because I put small traps like small black string in side treat of gas cap and hanging on the side very small to see and it will get lost ones cap is remove , my explorer used to do it to

Could it be a bad float/ sending unit in tank that can give you a false reading showing lower level than what's in there? I've experienced this before on other cars but haven't on the mustang.

because I try differnt methods to get the correct reading, one was fill the tank till it spills since I was replacing my white gauges I place the gas needle althe way up whit ignition on to get all needles runing, the other I try these instrumental clusther test that shows in the little digital number bar in ur clusther it shows you all correct reading in differnt numbers value, is pretty need it even shows you your rpm as you drive I got it from these page call bullittarchives.com it shows you a lot of mods and do it your selfs you guys should try it.
