Headers may be about the only thing that'll really make it louder without doing muffler deletes

Im running in my 98 gt, SLP x-pipe with cat deletes and LoudMouth 1 cat-back and it is by far the most aggresive and loudest exhaust ive heard. Love it.

Technically yes I am I had to cause I had the slp catted x and the cats crumbled on me so I had to remove them and dropped some MIL Elliminators on, no CE light and power and sound is great.

Re: Loudest muffler??

you really dont need mufflers, if you only care about volume then you can just remove them and point the pipe down at the ground (dumps)

That would be some hardcore vibration in the cabin, huh? But I guess if your going for loudness that would be the best.

I was thinking that but damn it would be so much vibration... The magna flows seem to get quieter the more I get on it very low deep bass sound looking more for a higher pitch mean sound get louder when I get on it...anyone kno what I mean?

Ok am I the only one who seems to notice that slp lm is nothing but a couple of expensive pieces of pipe? Seriously take it and look down it.. There's nothing. It's just a pipe. That's why there's absolutely no good sound to them. It's just straight pipes

Actually they are resonators..... true there is nothing to them and i think they are over priced pieces of pipe as well, but they will give a different sound then just deleting your muffler (straight pipes) the slp is gonna be wider than the rest of the pipe and it does something with the sound waves that give it a different sound than the straight pipes would. Still doesn't change the fact that they are over priced pieces of pipe... i bet a skilled muffler shop could fab up something just like the lm1 for u

They may be called resonators but I think that's a total load of bulls**t if they actually say it does something to the sound.. I could be wrong though... I had straight pipes and I had slp lm... Both sounded identical and like butt.. But to each his own

I know a guy who has dumps and no mufflers as it sounds stupidly loud and horrible, it's a 98 mustang gt, in my opinion I dont like it and I think the mufflers add good tone to the exhaust but it's your car do what you like
