Cheap Tuner ???

Any one know of a good tuner that's cheap or on sale? I'm looking to buy one soon but don't want to spend 380 on one. Post links if you can. Thanks

I understand .... You want to pay less, of course, but you want to buy a device that is going to dramatically affect arguably one of the most important parts in your car. So when u purchase a tuner.. just know you get what you pay for. The best tuners that I've seen all cost around $380 and up.The best deal I found was on the sct x3 tuner from American Muscle was 379 with free shipping and free bama performance tunes for life with purchase. I also did some searching online and found a 10% off coupon code at AM. Witch brought the total to 358 with guaranteed 3 day shipping. So if your going to spend the money... a good tuner would be worth it. Just my 2 cents.

The only way you're gonna find a cheap tuner is if its used. Now that in mind if you find it for 100-200 your gonna have to have it reset so you can use it on your car. That alone will cost between 1-150. Not to mention the potage to mail it in and the time it will take before you get it back. So there's 350, and the questionable amount of abuse/usuage by the previous owner. Might as well just just buy a new one, tunes for life, brand new, discounted with AM and free shipping.

So to answer your question, no, you're not gonna find a cheap tuner that is a vital element in modding your car to produce more hp/tq. There might be some on Ebay, made in Indonesia or somewhere else that will give you 500hp!
As Arron stated, the SCT SF3/X3 is the best affordable tuner out here. Discounted, free shipping, tunes for life, and AM/BAMA customer service for any problems. Out off all my mods, the tuner is by far the best mod I've bought!

Re: Cheap Tuner ???

its not the device its the tune, the tuner is just the device that loads the tune into the car~ some devices have the ability to modify more parameters (or perhaps that the tune but either way.... some brands do more). I HIGHLY recommend doing it right with a good tune and tuner or dont do it at all.

+1. As I said you get what you pay for.... A used tuner will probably be more of a headache than just buying a new tuner IMO. And, as SpectorV said "better to do it right or not at all".
