Exhaust help

So far I have a bassani o/r x pipe and flowmaster super 44s. Its nearing the time that i put tips on the car preferably black chrome.... does anyone know a ball figure price if i decided to have an muffler shop to cut my back end pipes and have them coming straight out of the exhaust cut outs instead of restricting it by going up and over the axle then out of the exhaust cut outs...

Yes, but I've seen some mustangs where they modified it to where it doesnt go up and over the axle, some say it restricts it by going up and over the axle

Nooooo, I don't want to cut them off after the muffler. I still want the whole system but instead of the exhaust that goes up and over the axle in the back I want to modify it to where they just come straight out. I know it sounds complicated I'm trying to describe it the best way I can sorry =\

So.. Side exit? To where the pipes exit on both sides right before the rear tires?

Lol no, ok you know how the regular exhaust system is set up? Now go toward the rear of the car where the two pipes come out of the cut outs, before they come out the cut outs they go from your mufflers back then they go up and over the rear axle then out of the exhaust cut outs on the rear bumper

O so have the pipes go straight under the axle instead of over? If that's what ur saying u really won't gain anything by doing that.

Yea that's kind of a waste of time and money mod. Plus I feel like it would be hanging down really far. Aftermarket catbacks go over the axle for a reason. I see where u might have thought that it would help.. But...nah

Re: Exhaust help

it can be done, juts you'll have clearance issues. i am guessing the pipes would be bent like as if the would be used on a 03-04 cobra. but i am not sure. if so then you'd have t change out the mufflers too.
