MIL eliminators AGAIN

This is my second thread on MIL... The first pair I ordered were bad so I sent them back and got new ones now the new ones won't work either cuz my CEL is still on... Has anyone had a problem like this? could it be my o2 sensors?

Try disconnecting the battery to reset CEL if the light comes back on its most likely you have a bad O2 sensor. Do you have a tuner? You can just check for codes and you can shut the CEL off that way also. I had the same problem with my car the way I eliminated the problem is I got the car tuned for the exhaust .

Re: MIL eliminators AGAIN

I had the same issue with the MIL eliminators from AM... just said screw it and waited until I bought a tuner...

It could also be a bad O2 sensor (like mentioned above). I had that problem with my LT install. I'd check tat first. I'd hate for you to go through the trouble of getting new MILs made only to find out it was just a bad sensor...

Re: MIL eliminators AGAIN

I live in CT as well and they just hook up to the OBD 2 port to make sure there aren"t any MIL codes or any other codes.

Re: MIL eliminators AGAIN

We used to have State sites you would go to, but for the state to save money they closed all of them and now there are state authorized repair shops you have to go to.

Lol. I wish.

---------- Post added at 12:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:24 PM ----------

It's actually a machine your car gets hooked up to that is state issued so kind of hard to get around. It's not the repair shops obd2 scanner. Older cars that don't have obd2 get hooked up to the sniffer. Lol
