Stock Exhaust?

I bought my 01 GT about 3 months ago and I'm trying to figure out if I have stock exhaust or not. I've had a few people tell me it sounds to deep to be stock. The only thing I've done is a CAI. My question is how can I tell if it's stock? Does anyone have a picture of theirs? I've looked underneath and can't see any markings. This makes me think it is stock. I'm sure most companies put there names all over there products. Thanks!

Stock mufflers are about twice as long as aftermarket I believe. About 24" long and about 10" wide if my memory serves me correct. My Mac mufflers are about 12-16" long and 8-10" wide

After markets usually have rolled lips on the tips as well

Those appear to be stock tips, however someone could have just bought mufflers and had the old ones cut out and the new welded in...can you get a pic of the mufflers?

The dimensions you stated above seem about right.

Your mufflers look like my flow masters idk if that's what your asking but ford mufflers have factory stamps and are shaped more like an oval on the side not like a NASCAR track like flow masters.

Re: Stock Exhaust?

I just had my stock mufflers removed not so long ago. Your muffler donot look like the stock ones They look like a lot like Flowmasters

Where in pa? Some counties just require it to pass the plug in emissions. Others that don't require emissions require a visual inspection of exhaust. If you dont have cats and aren't throwing a cel, you can pass the plug in. If you know your inspector have him "overlook" the no cats.

I live in allegheny county so emmisions is pretty strict. I can definitely see the difference in my mufflers compared to stock. I'll jack it up this weekend and see if I can find the brand name.

Those look like flowmasters just welded to stock pipes. Nice! Stock mufflers are oval shaped and are very quiet and you only really hear them when you take off or get on it.

Ya this reminds me when I bought my car this mother had svt and cobra emblems on... And the best part is he tried to tell me it has a svt package on lmao... In my head I was thinking this fool really thinks I'm stupid, and he's sellin me on this whole svt thing ha ha.... But I could clearly tell it was all stock, and a welded in ford racing muffler... He sold me when I swindled him down on sell price because battery was dead and car wouldn't start...
