Re: New Saleen Wheels

Thanks. my only gripe is that the lower profile tires don't fill up the fender gap quite as well. The car has eibach pro kit and that was like 2 months ago I got that. Guess I'll just have to live with it cuz I'm not buying new springs again. Lol

what size tires are you running. you should not have any gap what so ever.

Re: New Saleen Wheels

Interesting choice in size.

The most common size i see when plus sizing is 245/40x18 for the fronts and 275/35x18 for the rear

I used a tire calculator and the your wheel and tire package are off the factory specs. the fronts .1in smaller and the backs .2in larger. Not enough that you should notice a larger or smaller wheel gap.

That is the size they had on there.

You think not enough sidewall is the culprit?

Re: New Saleen Wheels

like i said i used a calculator and the width and sidewall make the tires slightly off. Again not enough that you should notice a difference. Dont forget you are now looking at larger wheel. it is not uncommon to think that you seeing more or less of wheel gap because you are seeing less tire. best way to be sure is you roll your factory wheel next to your car they should be almost the same size in diameter.

Love Saleen wheels I run a 265-35-18 on the front and it is square with the lip of the rim. I run 305-35-18 drag radials on the rear.

Ha yeah like I said I have the eibach pro kit. i just bought it recently. The mustang shop i had some work done at recommended this kit. In retrospect I do wish the drop was maybe just a quarter inch more. I guess they recommend it because you don't bottom out i really don't know. I have considered removing isos to get a little extra drop but i don't know if its worth risking the noises that come with it. Oh well sometimes at some angles i think it looks fine and then sometimes not. For now I'm just living with it. Thanks for the comments though guys. Maybe you can tell what i mean by these different angles. Mzilla your setup looks great man.

Re: New Saleen Wheels

Nice! Good thing is AM's chrome seems to be a lot better than the original Saleen chrome, most of them leaked within a couple of years due to the chrome cracking. Mine leaked so bad I got fed up and went back to the silver wheels the car originally came with.

Re: New Saleen Wheels

Oh man that sucks. I know that AM gives a year warranty on the finish of the wheels and a lifetime structural warranty.
