I had some problems with spec clutches, so I went with a ford racing clutch kit and flywheel, and also bought a the ford racing Throwout bearing which is a lot stronger then the ones that come with the kits, and it has held up great!!! I have herd good things about ram also

How many miles have you put on the AR clutch?

I've had my spec for around 2000 miles and have had zero problems with it. It grips and grips and the drivability is near stock even with a stage 3+

Go with spec stage 3 is the best way to go for street and track use
Also if u can get a aluminum flywheel the cost for labor will be the same since they have to remove the flywheel in order to install the clutch

What are your plans for the car? I've said it before on other threads: don't over-clutch your car. It's pointless getting a Stage 3+ clutch when you don't plan on pushing a lot of horsepower. You sacrifice pedal stiffness and potentially drive ability depending on the friction material you choose. If you are never getting above 400-450 ft lbs of torque then look into a stage 1 or 2 clutch. Center force is a pretty good brand, along with Exedy, I've heard both good and bad reviews with Spec. The way I'd go is a Luk clutch. They are THE brand that most manufacturers use and they make a damn good clutch for being stock.
