Steeda underdrives pulleys

I was wondering about the gains by using the steeda underdrive pulleys. Are they really worth it? I don't have a big system to draw volts.

I had a bbk on my old lincoln mark viii and it was a 3 pully kit, it did cause low volts and dim lights at idle, I just took the alt pully off and it was better

I would get them 6-7 hp might not be a lot but it's a mod motor so nothing is going to give you a lot a power unless you supercharge it or build the motor

Just don't use the alt pulley! The only problem with using alt pulley is at idle! If you don't play your system at idle a lot don't worry about it!

Like I said the only bad thing is the volt output, I had a 160 t-stat so I never noticed my cooling system struggle stayed the same with or without the pullies

@ idle it can IF u use the alt pulley. Or you can put a better alt on it and be fine...I personally bought a used set w/o the alt pulley so I didn't have to worry about it!

U/D pullies give you better throttle response. I have BBK and like everyone else says just leave the alt. pulley off and you should be fine

I have the under drive pulleys and I have left the alt pulley on and never have had any power issues. No dimming lights, no sound system issues, or slowing of power anywhere. You need to put on the alt pulley it comes with, it's smaller and helps the alt keep up by spinning faster. I never had an issue or anything wrong with the steeda UD, the only problem I had was the install. To me they are worth it, I felt a definite change in the lower rpms. These really pay off if you do a ac, smog, steering delete, but who wants to really do all that.
