Is it legal?

Is it against the law in Florida to take out the cats?

you should be ok if they dont enforce it i suppose. every state is different.. i seen a county one time where the sheriff checked for cats... i think you should check with your local enforcement or fhp and see wut they say.

I checked my local laws and it states that a car originally equipped with catalytic converters must have them installed and working properly at ALL times. I'm also in an emissions restrictive county.

As svtlx said, check with local laws before making a very costly mistake.
