I bought the car with the front and rear cobra bumpers already. Also the previous owner put cobra snake badges on the fenders, back, and front. Lol. I rebadged it as a GT and now all that's left that says Cobra is the rear bumper.

Sorta. I'm keeping the cobra front and rear. But my car is a GT therefore it will be badged as a GT. Haha.

Re: Lowering your car

My car is lowered ~2" in the front and 1.8" in the rear...I have H&R Super Sports as well with Tokico HP's, MM CC 4 bolts and X2 Ball Joints.

The car is low...I have to drive SLOW over RR crossings, dips, etc. I don't even bother with speed bumps and some parking lots are too steep to enter. I also have scraped my cats on high spots on crowned roads

Despite all this pita stuff I love the stance and the handling performance.

I wouldn't however, recommend this setup on a daily driven car. Mine only sees the road when I feel like it, so I don't mind the drop.

Surprisingly I have not scraped my chin spoiler, but I am very careful around any inclines, like to a crawl careful

O4 GT with Bilstien/UPR coil overs with UPR caster camber plates steeda offset rack bushings and steeda bumper steer kit and steeda blue sway bars with 1 1/4 polyurethane end links. The rear is steeda sport springs with UPR upper and lower control arms with tokico Illumina 5 way adjustables the car rides really good no harsh ride but still firm. I have long tube headers and the only time they scrap is on speed bumps you have to go slow

I run 305-35-18 on the rear. I did have to roll the quarter panels. The fenders are stock

So with my 315/35/17 I'd have to roll to drop 2"? What about 275/40/17 on front? Roll?

My rears are the same and my fronts are slightly narrower (245) and I don't rub on the fenders. My 315's sit about flush with the fender and they've never rubbed, and I've stretched that suspension over bumps/inclines.

The only rubbing you'll probably notice is the front tires will rub the sway bar at full lock.

Also keep on eye on your rear tires and your exhaust piping...I'd imagine that your GT exhaust will be fine...I know my aftermarket Pypes came fairly close to my tires, I had to re-adjust the piping/tips.

I have 315/35/17 on mine with a 2" drop and I clear. Not by much but it doesn't run. I run 255/40/17 in the front and have no issues. I don't know about 275 though.

Crowned roads are my enemy. The lowest part on my car is the engine cradle so i have to be aware of the crowned roads. Other than that I don't have much problems. Just have to be careful.

You've got great taste in color my friend the stance looks great man. Dropping my Termi is the next mod for sure.

I didn't install the spacers with the balljoints and also did a couple other things. I'm kinda delirious right now. I'll think of it later. Haha

Re: Lowering your car

That looks pretty good with the 20's. To hear about 20's on our style cars doesn't sound right.. but that looks pretty good. How does it ride being lowered with such big wheels?

Re: Lowering your car

Thank man! It's a pearl sunset orange with a pearl white stripe .....
The ride not bad at all. I actually take it to tracks Fromm time to time to do a bit of turning since there isn't too many drag strips in Germany. And I take on a lot of M3's and sti's . It's supercharged btw

If you want lowering springs mainly for looks but nothing that drops the car too low than I'd consider either Eibach Pro Kit springs or Ford Racing C springs.

The Pro Kit will drop it 1.5" and the C springs will drop ~1-1.25".

Enough to be to noticed but not enough to make daily driving inconvenient.

My car has the Eibach pro kit and the steeda x2 ball joints should be 2.25 in the front and 2 in the back but I don't really believe the front is as far down as they said but then again it was hella high stock
But this should give you an idea what Eibach has to offer

---------- Post added at 12:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:03 AM ----------

And Eibach is hella stiff great for corners but expect to feel every dip in the road
I personally love it but the girlfriend doesn't like it so much when we have to drive crappy roads
