What are your plans for the car? Do you want to lower it just for looks?

For a complete set-up you will want springs, idolaters, new shocks, caster/camber plates, and a bump steer kit.

I'm running H&R race springs. They lower the car about 1"-1.25" and have a fairly stiff spring rate.

The pic in the middle is as soon as I lowered it.. it settled a little bit after driving it. I lowered it last August drove.it a month or two then put her to sleep for the winter! Just woke her up a few weeks ago.

Re: Lowering your car

I went with H&R SS lowering springs for roughly 1.75" front and 1.5" back. Sits nice. It also dropped more because of other suspension equipment I added. Total of about 2" front and rear. Second pic is my car and my friend's 2004 Mach1 we lowered 2" as well.

It's not terrible. My chin spoiler lasted about 35 mins before it blew in half. Haha. Aftermarket bumpstop from H&R.

I do scrape a lot but I don't bottom out often since I drive carefully.
My front tires rub the wheel guard when I corner really hard at high speed or hit dips in the road. Stupid Louisiana road erosions..

Re: Lowering your car

I had 1.5" wheel spacers on.. looked cool and flush with rear fender, until pulling into a parking lot one wheel at a time over the speed bump and sliced my tire on the fender! THAT SUCKED!

Yep. They're really fun! Especially when you slam it around a corner just in time to realize a huge elevation change in the road..

I feel you pain main same way with both of my lowered vehicles where my headers connect to my x-pipe I hit something there from all out dips and holes on the roads when I had my truck my fender was hitting my tires so bad it scraped all the numbers and tire name off of it I-12 to baton rouge is horrible and I-10 to new Orleans right when you get into the city they have some horrible spots

You should definitely roll your fenders. I rolled mine and run 295s out back and have almost no contact even at full compression.

Dude... Going down St. Charles in NOLA makes me cry. And especially going down the connecting roads in NOLA around that area going to my friend's houses... I literally scrape the entire road and every intersection. I'm just waiting on my front bumper to catch one and break. I've been airborne before on St. Charles before they fixed one spot on the road... The elevation change was literally 6 inches and I didn't see it until the last second. I was beside myself....

I know a guy who busted 2 oil pans within like a 4 month span. he had coilovers, needless to say he lifted his car some and invested in a skid plate.

It will if you be careful...well depending on the roads. The worst thing I have to contend with are railroad tracks...the worst roads can be avoided...
